Puri Jagannath’s Father Passes Away

Well-known director Puri Jagannath’s father Petla Simhachalam died on 5, July due to ill-health. He was 69. He is survived by his wife and three sons. Eldest among them is Puri Jagannath, second is Uma Shankar Ganesh (Executive producer of Bumper Offer) and the third is Sai Ram Shankar.

Petla Simhachalam’s funeral will be held in his native place BK Palli of Narsipatnam, Visakha District.

Roja as Priyamani’s Mother in ‘Golimaar’

Yesteryear’s heroine Roja, who recently made a comeback with ‘Shambo Shiva Shambo,’ is playing a key role in Puri Jagannath directed ‘Golimaar.’ The film stars Gopichand and Priyamani in lead roles. Roja is playing role of Priyamani’s mother in the film.

Speaking about her role in the film, Roja said “I am ready to act as heroine’s mother if the role is good and brings recognition. On the other hand, I will certainly not accept the one that doesnt carry any significance or identity. And coming to ‘Golimaar,’ I am playing a dominating role – a character that doesn’t believe love of a man. I strongly believe that even such characters impress people, especially family audience.”
