Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s all time favourite film ‘Jagadekaveerudu Athilokasundari’ directed by K Raghavender Rao and produced by C Aswini Dutt on Vyjayanthi Movies Banner is regarded as one of the greatest classics of Telugu Cinema. The film has completed two decades on May 9.

Speaking on the occasion, producer C Aswini Dutt said “We are now planning for a sequel to this mega hit on Vyjayanthi Movies Banner. Shooting will begin in February. We will disclose the details of the sequel in January 2011.”

Director K Vijay Bhaskar’s New Film

K Achi Reddy, the producer of hit films like Rajendrudu Gajendrudu, Mayalodu, Yamaleela, Vinodam etc. on Manisha Films Banner, has recently founded Max India productions banner. The film house’s first film will be directed by K Vijay Bhaskar, the director of blockbusters like Jai Chiranjeeva, Malleeswari,Nuvve Kavali, Nuvvu Naku Nachav, Manmadhudu and Swayam Varam.

Sword and Shield of Magadheera on Auction

“Auctioning the articles and costumes used by the film stars has been in practice in Hollywood and Bollywood from quite a long time. In Tollywood, we began this practice with the film ‘Adurs.’ Now, we had put the sword and shield used by Ram Charan in his mega hit “Magadheera” on auction.  The funds collected in this way will be used for the aid of poor artists” said Murali Mohan, the president of Movie Artists Association.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Murali Mohan said the entire process will be conducted through Maastars.com till 16th of this month. Bidders can bid for sword and shield jointly or separately. The highest bidder will be given the articles by 20th of this month. The entire film unit will be taking part in this programme.

Sukumar to direct Prince Mahesh

Prince Mahesh’s fans now have a lot to cheer. Though he kept away from the silver screen from over two and half years, he is now willing to do more films. He had already agreed to work for two films – one in the direction of Sreenu Vytla and the other ‘Mr. Perfect’ that will be directed by Surender Reddy.

The latest news is that he had also agreed to do a film in the direction of Sukumar, the director of super hit films ‘Arya’ and ‘Arya 2.’ 14 Reels entertainment banner is producing the film. More details are yet to be known.

Super Cowboy Coming Tomorrow

Lawrence Raghavendra’s ‘Super Cowboy’ (Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam in Tamil) will be hitting screens tomorrow.  The film is an action-based, romantic, comedy entertainer directed by Shimbu Devan. With a massive budget of about 20 crores, it is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ramesh and Kalpathi S Ganesh under the banner of SGS Entertainments. Dammulapati Srinivas Rao is presenting it in Telugu.

Super Cowboy to Release with 70 prints in 100 theatres on May 7

Lawrence Raghavendra’s ‘Super Cowboy’ directed by Shimbu Devan will be hitting screens this Friday (May 7). The film will be released simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Dammulapati Sreenivasa Rao, owner of Sai Krishna Productions, is presenting it in Telugu in association with AGN Entertainments. Film release is planned in 100 theatres with 70 prints.
